Rubber Duckie

Rubber Duckie at the former Nazi Parade Grounds, Nuremberg 2008.  We went up on the viewing platform and as I was taking a picture of Rubber Duckie where Hitler actually stood, a woman came up to me with tears in her eyes, and said she was glad that they hadn’t torn the building down, so she could see this “healing moment.” I smiled awkwardly and put Rubber Duckie back in my backpack and cartwheeled down the stairs.
